The musician — born O’Shea Jackson —Ice Cube stands in solidarity with George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died Monday in Minnesota after a white police officer pinned a knee to his neck.
On Thursday, the Ice Cube was supposed to appear on “Good Morning America” to promote his new film “The High Note” co-starring Tracee Ellis Ross and Dakota Johnson. However, he decided to cancel in the wake of Floyd’s passing.
“I apologize to everyone expecting to see me on ‘Good Morning America’ today, but after the events in Minnesota with George Floyd I’m in no mood to tell America, good morning,” Ice Cube wrote on his Twitter page.

He also referred to the white police man who strangled Floyd with his knee as a monster.
